Does anyone feel like October just flew by? Don’t get me wrong, I love summer just as much as the next person. But this year I have been so ready for everything fall.
And for me, that means delicious smelling candles, deeper colors and apple spice everything. This time of year I am all about cozy sweaters, deep, warm color palette and fuzzy blankets. As we get closer to the holiday season, I’ll start to decorate and my apartment will look like the holidays threw up on it. I really love the holiday season.
But this October I wanted to try and break out of my box a little. Explore some of the bolder and more fun colors, flavors, and styles of fall. I know I’m a little late to the game but I’ve been obsessed with pumpkin spice, bold red, burnt orange, and pops of detail or texture to add a little something to any look.
Because I’ve been feeling more adventurous this year I’ve tried out a lot of new stuff and I’ve definitely found some favorite products from the month of October that will continue to be on repeat as we get ready for all the holiday coziness around the corner.
Candles and Candles and Candles oh my! Bath and Body Works have once again killed it this season with their delicious smelling candles. Spiced Apple Toddy, Frosted Cranberry, and Leaves are my obsession right now. I don’t like a super sugary smelling candle, and these three are perfect because they smell so warm and cozy.
When I can’t have my candles burning cause I am out of the house, I love to leave my wax melters going so the house smells nice when I come home. Kohls recently had a sale on both their melters and the wax. I may have gone a little crazy but how cute is this Fall Leaf Wax Warmer from Sonoma? I couldn’t buy the warmer without the wax melts so I bought a few different ones perfect for fall. Falling Leaves, Fireside Memories and Thankful Harvest have been on repeat all month long.
My fall makeup has also been on repeat all month long but I’ve strayed from my traditional deep nudes and mauves into some more bold colors. I recently discovered this Models Own Matte Liquid Lipstick in Candy Cane. This color is so bright, it’s outside my box for sure. However, even though this color is such a pop, it’s still super appropriate for fall and the formula is super comfortable.
I’ve also fallen in love with Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in Devotion. This is a go-to red shade for me going into the holidays. I can’t stop wearing this festive color. It makes me feel so sassy and feisty. The formula of these are amazing, some of the best liquid lipsticks from the drugstore in terms of comfort and longevity.
Pumpkin spice was never really my thing. I’ve never really liked PSL’s or pumpkin spice candles, but Trader Joes changed it all. My mom sent me these amazing. Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies. They are one of the most magical things I discovered this October and luckily they also sell them on Amazon. They are pretty expensive so I will probably just save them as a seasonal treat when they come back around. But they are so good.
Thanks to Trader Joes as well, I found a coffee that makes me rethink my stance on all things pumpkin spice. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are just too sweet and the flavor overwhelms the coffee in a not so good way. But Trader Joes Pumpkin Spice Coffee for the Keurig isn’t sweet unless I add sugar and they have the perfect fall spice and pumpkin flavor.
I can’t get over booties this fall. I’ve always been a boot lover but recently I have been exploring different styles that I can rock. I found these Moccasin Booties on sale at DSW at the beginning of October, since then they have been a staple. I have paired them with dresses, pants, and leggings, and I don’t want to stop wearing them.
I have found so many great new beauty products, stylish clothing items and pieces of decor to rock this fall. From makeup to candles and everything in between, I have loved finding these products to spruce up my home, change up my wardrobe and give my makeup a seasonal pop of color.
Have you found any favorite products from the month of fall?
I hope you all have a lovely Friday and an amazing weekend!
