Taking Your Favorite Little White Dress Into Fall

Don’t get me wrong, I love a little black dress more than most people. I like black in general. But in the summertime, there is nothing better than “sun dressing up” as Barney Stinson would say.

And for me, that means the perfect little white dress. Paired with sandals or wedges its one of the most versatile items in my wardrobe. But as seasons begin to change my coffee gets hotter, my outfits get cozier and my color palette gets darker.

But this year I made a promise to myself that I wanted to break out of my comfort zones of mostly neutrals and bring some color into my wardrobe. I’ve been obsessed with olive green, burgundy, mustard yellow, royal blue, all of which are a great way to bring a beautiful touch of color to any look.

I also found a way to take a dress from summer to fall for the changing seasons. Adding in some beautiful fall colors and some layers to make it perfect for days that are still warm and evenings that can get a tad chilly.

These burgundy booties from Target have literally been my obsession since I got them. I found the same ones on Amazon now that these aren’t in stock at Target anymore. In fact, I included them in a round-up of my favorite block heels for fall post here! The color, the style, the block heel that makes them comfortable to wear all day even if I am running around from the thing to thing throughout the day.

This white dress I’ve had in my closet for such a long time. It came from the juniors section at Kohls, and no I have no idea how I’ve managed to keep it looking even remotely close to white for so long as I have a tendency to accidentally spill my coffee and food on occasion. But I’ve found a gorgeous little white dress from Macy’s that would look just as beautiful!

And I know you’ve already seen this bag all over my social media but I don’t think I’ve carried anything else since I bought this one. Mine is a Steve Madden find from Nordstrom rack and is actually the inside small bag from a tote. I found a two in one tote and zipper pouch from Aldo at DSW that is just as stunning and the perfect pop of color for fall!

This denim jacket is perfect for throwing on over this dress when things cool down! Stylish, and who doesn’t love a good denim jacket for those chilling evenings! I love this one because it actually hits me everywhere it should which can struggle with jackets when you have a petite frame. This one is a classic from Levi’s. Taking a dress in the spring for me is about adding layers to keep my warmer when things cool off and this jacket is perfect for doing just that!

My watch is from Fossil. I love rose gold and the turquoise color is just fun and unique! I love that it has a little bit sparkle to it. Its just embellished enough I can dress it up if I want but it goes just as well the jeans and a t-shirt. The bracelet is a Cartier love bracelet dupe I found on Amazon that I have been in love with! Such a good piece to add to a stack or wear on its own, without the hefty price tag. it even comes with its own little screwdriver just like the Cartier ones do.

I love taking a dress from summer to fall, now my favorites don’t have to live in the back of my closet for months! I hope you all have a lovely Friday and a great weekend! Come back on Monday to see some fun fall makeup!
