Florals are so beautiful for spring. However, even though this is a time for festive pastel colors I am still more of a dark, warm colors kinda person. Call it spring with a darker twist. Make it dark enough, make it warm enough, and anything can become a season staple. Including styling dark florals for fall, to use as great pieces to mix, match and rock all season long.
I’ve been trying my best to add more excitement to my fall wardrobe as for the most part I’ve been a very neutral kind of girl in the past. It’s time to get a little more exciting and let my colorful personality show through in my wardrobe. Because let’s be honest I little too crazy to be wearing black and grey every day.
I personally wouldn’t describe myself as overly girl but I love soft feminine little touches with some edge to them. Give me lace but make black, give me tule or ruffles but make it torn and distressed, give me color but make them vampy and deep. In keeping with this styling dark florals for fall embraces the deep warmth of the season with a little bit of edge and some feminity which I fell like describes me and the season perfectly.

I picked up this off the shoulder top at a local place called The Closet here in San Diego, but I found this similar black floral off the shoulder top, that is stunning. I love flowy tops like this, and as I just got comfortable wearing strapless bras I’ve been abusing the ability to wear off the shoulder styles more. The black background and the warm fall colors in the floral pattern make this a perfect top for styling during the fall.
These distressed skinny jeans from Windsor Store are hands down my favorite most worn pair of pants ever. I have already worn through one pair and had to repurchase them. Not only are the extremely comfortable and high quality but guess what? I didn’t even have to hem them for them to fit like a glove! These are my perfect jeans for styling with boots and a fall top, or sweater for that comfy worn look that is a staple look for the season no matter what the occasion.
I added these classic fringe Minnetonka Moccasins to my bootie collection this year. I could resist they were on like 80% off at DSW, and look how cute! These are so perfect for fall, and so versatile, from pairing them with jeans or leggings for a hockey game to dressing them up in a cute dress for a date night, I’ve worn these for all kinds of occasions and I can tell they will continue to be on repeat all season long.
My sister brought this bag back from a trip she went on to Cuba this past March and I just thought it went so well with the rest of the florals in my outfit. But I also love this mini crossbody from fossil for when I am going out or whenever I want to carry just the bare minimum with me like my phone keys and a small wallet or just a few cards and cash.
My gorgeous silver tiered earrings are a Target find that I bought cause I wanted something that made a bit of a statement but wasn’t heavy. These are so thin and lightweight, I have no problem rocking them all day long even I am running around from event to event and I can dress them up for an event or keep the casual for looks like this one.
I debated whether or not to talk about this watch in this post because this watch is probably twice as old as I am. It doesn’t work unless you wind it, and its an extremely sentimental piece to me. Last time I went to visit my family in Chicago my grandma let us go through her jewelry box since she doesn’t wear it much anymore. This watch was one of the few items I took. It means more to me than I could ever say. I was named after my grandma, and she is a huge part of what has made me the person I am today.
Whether you love traditional spring florals or love darker colors like I do, styling the perfect off the shoulder top for spring is easy. It took me a long time to get comfortable wearing off the shoulder tops but now I love them! This floral one will be on repeat all spring, summer and maybe into the fall on those warm days.
I hope you are having a great week and are enjoying some spring weather and festivities!
