Sherpa Fleece and Leggings: A Lazy Winter Day Outfit For Petite Women
Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all had a great time celebrating this holidays and the New Year with loved ones. As I get ready to head into 2018 I am taking one last day to really recover and get all of the crap done I neglected over the holidays. Days like that are made for lazy outfits that are cute and comfortable, and to be honest everyone needs that go to no effort look. I have been living in the perfect lazy winter day outfit for petite women because its so cozy, and its perfect for whatever my lazy day might entail whether I am curled up watching Netflix, having a girls day at home or even sitting around working on the blog.
I am so in love with cozy looks like this because most of the time I am a casual kind of girl who prefers to be comfortable while running errands or even cleaning up around my house. No matter where you live there is always a need for a lazy winter day outfit that can keep you warm and is perfect for your most casual days. There are a few basics that are part of a great lazy winter day outfit for petite women. A nice sweater so you stay warm, a t-shirt in case you get to warm inside, comfortable pants, and of course cozy footwear.
My Sherpa Fleece jacket from the north face was without a doubt one of the best purchases I made in 2017. You will want to live in this jacket from the second you try it on. It’s so soft and cozy, and I mean come on just look at how gorgeous that color is? They have this fleece in a few different colors that are all gorgeous. The extra small fits perfectly which is surprising but it hits just where I want my fleeces to sit, covering my but just a bit. The sleeves are a little long but when is that not an issue? Seriously, sherpa fleeces are a great item for any fall or winter wardrobe whether you like the full zip, quarter zips or even just pullovers, it’s like walking around in a giant microfiber blanket and what could be better than that?
Do I need to say anything more about how great and comfortable yoga pants are for those lazy days at home? I got these ones from the petite section at Old Navy and while they are still a little long, they fit so much better than a lot of other pairs I’ve tried. They are nice and soft, have held up really well for years through washing and even wearing them hiking on some summer camping trips while I was in Colorado. These are seriously my favorite and I’ve bought a couple different pairs and will continue to add to my ridiculous collection!
If you are more of a leggings girl a nice thick pair of stretchy pants makes this a super cute look as well. I bought a couple pairs from the juniors section at Kohls and they have treated me well over the years. I couldn’t find the exact ones I have which are my favorite because they have back pockets but these are pretty much the same ones. I love that they come in a few different colors so you can pick whichever fits your style and while I am more of a black leggings kind of girl, I also really love the maroon and dark green ones.
You can’t have a lazy winter day outfit for petite women without a pair of warm boots to help keep you comfortable around the house or out running errands. Bearpaw makes some of the best that go all the way down to a size 5 and offer some cute styles in the kid’s section to that can help save you some money. I love these shorter ones because they are super easy to slip on and are super comfortable. They are lined with really nice fleece that keeps your feet warm even in the coldest temperatures. I sprayed mine with some waterproofing spray and took them to Chicago over the Christmas holiday and they held up perfectly in the snow and freezing cold weather.
My favorite go-to t-shirt for casual days is from Express. V-neck t-shirt that is perfectly oversized and comfortable is seriously what casual wardrobe dreams are made of. You can dress these down by wearing them with leggings or yoga pants, or even dress them up pairing it with skirts or nicer pants for a business casual look. Throwing a bralette on underneath and lounging around its, the perfect basic for a lazy winter day outfit for petite women. It comes in different colors and I own just about all of them. They are high quality and don’t fall apart so they can be a great addition to every season’s wardrobe.
Don’t forget the fuzzy socks. Nothing feels better on the feet than a nice pair of fuzzy, warm socks to keep your toes from getting cold. Running around the house or inside your favorite boots, you can rock this hidden or as a little pop of something extra to show off for a cute cozy look. Target sells them in so many different patterns and colors from the festive Christmas and winter looks to ones you can rock in all seasons. I love them all and would buy every last pair if I could but seriously go pick up a pair and your toes will thank you for all the comfort.
I hope you all are having a great first week of the new year! I am so ready to kick as in 2018 and I’m sure it will include a lot of lazy days curled up working at home. I will be rocking this lazy winter day outfit for petite women for this days, staying cozy and comfortable.
