Hi, Hello, Hey there!
Wow, so I have so much to fill you guys in on! I know its been a long time and I promise that new content is coming soon, but for now I just wanna check in with you guys and let you all know what we have been up to in the last two-ish months since I lasted posted on my lovely little corner of the internet.

WE MOVED! That’s rights. We left our beautiful ocean side city of San Diego and started on a grand new adventure in Dallas, Tx. It all happened kinda fast which was a big reason I kind of went MIA. It was about 5 weeks from making the decision to move to actually getting out here. In that time we were apartment hunting, packing up in San Diego, setting everything up here in Texas to be ready when we got here and just doing all the other adulty things that come with moving.
I also started a new job! For those of you who don’t know outside of running this blog, I work 9-5 in Marketing. For the last two years, I worked for an agency in San Diego and am now working for a different agency with an office here in Dallas. I don’t know about anyone else but I find starting a new job singlehandedly one of the most exhausting tasks in the world. Maybe it’s because I am an introvert at heart, and being around lots of new people, takes a lot of my energy, or maybe it’s because you feeling like you are paying attention to 12 thousand different things at once. Whatever the reason though I never have any energy to do anything other than plop down on my couch and watch netflix for those first few weeks.
Add on to that the madness of moving across the country, coordinating all of the logistics to that, and I was basically a useless potato after all of it. I am lucky cause I have an amazingly supportive boyfriend who let me take two whole days away from it all to focus on work while him and some of his great friends backed 95% of our stuff into pods so it could get shipped.
We spent 5 days sleeping on an air mattress before leaving to drive two straight 10 hour days from San Diego to Dallas. But after all of that we made it! We are here and settling in.
Fun fact: This is the third state my boyfriend and I have lived in together in 5 years. I guess you can say we love new adventures and aren’t ready to call one place home forever yet.
Well, I think that’s pretty much the update. If you guys have any recommendations for things cool things to do, or delicious places to eat in Dallas please send them my way because we are so excited to start exploring the area as much as we can while being safe.
I hope you all are hanging in there through the all of this craziness with the pandemic, being at home and everything else.
XOXO
Charlie
