Hello lovely petite ladies!
I feel like it has been a long time since I’ve had a chance to sit down and write to you guys. I am sure those of you who follow long on Instagram you might have noticed that I’ve been a little MIA lately. But that’s because I have been doing some serious thought about where I want this little corner of the internet of mine to look like.
I have been working hard to turn this little dream into a reality and I owe all its success to all of you. I can’t thank you enough for loving this blog enough to keep coming back.
But, I have been feeling a little uninspired lately in terms of creating content and I realized I needed to find my fire again. So, I spent the last week or so doing exactly that. With the help of a friend of mine I went out and rediscovered every ounce of passion I had when I first started this blog over a year ago.

I have been relearning how to love taking pictures and creating all kinds of content and so I am back, and better than that.
Have you ever tried breaking out your comfort zone?
I have always been a very classic, and casual kind of girl. Now that’s not to say that I don’t love getting dressed up but I always struggle with ways to bring some pop into my casual wardrobe. It’s been jeans and t-shirts or a quarter zip most days, and my favorite sneakers almost have a hole worn through them already and I’ve only had them since Christmas.
Well, thank you for the inspiration of some very stylish ladies around me I am slowly learning how further stretch my casual wardrobe for. Adding some pops of things I would never have normally.
Now, on the surface, this outfit might not seem like its that out of the norm for me, however, the accessories are really what make this cute and ready for summer outfit perfect for brunch, running errands or a lunch date.
This white tank top is an absolute must for me in the summer because I can throw it over a cute colored bralette or a bikini and it will keep me nice and cool. Free Peoples sale rack always gets me when I am walking through Macy’s and that’s where I found this cute gem. I bought mine in a size bigger than normal, this is medium because I wanted that extra loose, flowy look for the summer. It also helps show off this adorable blue bralette.
I got this bralette or sports bra, I’m not sure which it is exactly during the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale. It’s made out of a sports bra like material but I have a hard time believing anyone could get enough support out of it too seriously workout with. However, it does make an extremely cute bralette for under dresses, and tank tops. And the blue color just speaks to my soul.
These jeans are my trusted Jessica Simpson skinnies. I know you are probably thinking Jessica Simpson? Really? But honestly, they are some of the best jeans I have ever owned in my entire life. They are nice a stretchy as well as being some of the few that are insanely long for petite women. I mean they still bunch ever so slightly at the ankles but in a cute stylish way, not in a way that makes it look like you are playing dress up.
This silk scarf I jacked from my friend as we were on our way out the door to take pictures because I was feeling like my outfit was just a tad bit plane. But come on how gorgeous are all the colors and how cute does it look keeping my hair off my face in the warm weather? You can find super cute ones at Target and other places but this one is a silk Coach one that just makes everything really feel cute and summery.
Now let’s talk about these incredible burgundy shoes. I’ve mentioned them before as they are some of my favorite block heels for petite women. But I just can’t stop wearing them. They go just as well with jeans as they do with dresses or rompers. There will never be an occasion where these are inappropriate or not perfect for the occasion. From summer into fall, you will still love wearing these with tanks like I did here or even with a sweater as the weather gets cooler.
I love this outfit so much and I hope that it’s getting you inspired to step outside of your comfort zone whether that be with accessories like I did here or even trying a complete outfit that might be outside of your normal style.
I hope you are all having a great week!
