How To Style Boyfriend Jeans And Light Sweater
I have been dying to get some true fall weather but with a heat wave, this past week and it took a while for Southern California to cool off I’ve been tricking myself into the spirit of the season by rocking my boyfriend jeans and a fall sweater as often as I can.
I am all about comfy boyfriend jeans, they are a staple in my casual wardrobe. And when the weather starts to cool off I want to wrap myself in cozy sweaters. San Diego doesn’t give me many opportunities to wrap up in my favorite cozy clothing, but this lightweight sweater is perfect for the fall we get here. Boyfriend jeans and a fall sweater is the perfect casual look for breezy days, near the water.
A good casual look like this for me is a classic and something that never goes out of style. Pairing lightweight sweaters like this are perfect for days that are still warm here in San Diego and makes me feel like I am getting a little bit of fall even though I don’t really get fall weather.
These classic Adidas sneakers are a staple in my wardrobe. I can’t get enough of these because they go with anything and everything. My Adidas Superstars are definitely a shameless find from the kid’s section at DSW. Check out my blog post about my shameless kids department finds for more money saving gold. A weekend go to, I pair with jeans, shorts, and even dresses and skirts for a sporty look, who doesn’t love a good classic.
Every girl should have a pair of comfy boyfriend jeans in their closet. I used to think this trend was something I was never going to personally get into but, I am in love with casual and versatile these are. These Refuge Destroyed Boyfriend jeans from Charlotte Russe have been on repeat quite often since I got them, and can you blame me? Perfect fit and everything I could want!
Can we talk about how fabulous the details on this top are, here is a similar Twisted Back Sweater since mine is no longer available. I am all about back details like this. They are such a great way to add a fun twist, no pun intended, on a classic top like this white sweater. The fit is perfect and it’s so comfy. Lightweight for the “fall” weather here in San Diego, it could also be layered under jackets for a great fall look.
I love having a bag like this with me, it bigs enough to carry everything I need with me, as well as having space for any water bottles or anything I’ve purchased throughout the day. It’s not big enough that things get lost in it either. Perfect neutral color to go with any outfit I’ve had this Sak Bag, from Macy’s for a very long time but here is a similar one from The Sak, that is the same size and also a crossbody.
My stack of Alex & Ani bracelets has been a work in progress and still is! Each one represents something about me. My first initial, my star sign, my birthstone and my one that I got that says sister, from well my sister. These are my favorite because they are adjustable which is great for my little wrists. They are high quality and you get them with charms for everything from schools to letters, to greek life and military.
I am a casual dresser 90% of the time and this is outfit is perfect for running around on the weekends and doing errands around the house too. I love how comfortable it is and how it still looks pulled together without any effort. Boyfriend jeans and a fall sweater is so easy to just throw on and be out the door.
Do any of you have a go-to casual look that you rock this time of year?
I hope you have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!
