I have a serious obsession with sweaters and pullovers especially. For someone who lives someplace that only has sweater whether, like 2 months out of the year, my collection is probably a bit extreme. But I can’t help myself when I see cute sweaters they just speak to me. But sometimes it can be hard to find ones that fit just right. Some are too oversized to be functional and often times the shoulders don’t fit properly causing them to look a little odd. I’ve rounded up 10 of the best sweaters for petite women so that you never have to worry about finding that perfect sweater again.
While shopping the petite section can be helpful when finding sweaters that are cut specifically for those on the shorter end of the spectrum, I’ve noticed that it’s hard to find a petite section that sells modern and chic pieces. Going into the petite section at most department stores looks like walking into my grandmas closet. So I’ve had to find other solutions, often shopping in the juniors or kids section to find sweaters that are cut more for petite women.
I added this orange surplice sweater from Tillys to my collection this year, and it has been one of my best buys for sure. This knit is much thicker than I thought it would be making it a really functional piece. Throw it on under a leather jacket with some skinny jeans and booties for a look that is perfect for a night out or a brunch with friends, or if you are like me and live someplace where its a little warmer wear it alone with some leggings and sneakers for a casual look that’s ready for anything the day might throw at you.
I was looking for something to throw on over t-shirts as an extra layer. This cute graphic pullover from the juniors section at Target is so comfortable and the perfect extra layer for any outfit. Whether you are sitting in a movie theater that’s to cold or need something to bring along to keep you warm after the sun goes down, having a sweater like this that is warm but thin enough to throw on over another shirt and under a jacket will help make sure you are warm and toasty no matter what your plans are.

Lace is so soft and feminine, I love black lace details as they are soft and beautiful but also some edge. Pair it with the color of this speckled grey sweater and you’ve got a perfect match made in heaven. I couldn’t find this exact one, but pair a v-neck sweater with a lace bandeau and you’ll get the same effect. Through on some delicate long necklaces and some dramatic earrings and you’ve got the perfect look for the company party or happy hour with your friends. You could even put a blazer over it and have a great look for work.
A basic grey v-neck knit sweater is a great addition to any wardrobe. Because it can be thrown on for work or play there is never a moment when this piece won’t be useful for the winter season. I’ve had mine for a few years, It has become a great go-to item even when I am just lounging around the house to keep me warm. To be honest, I love the more minimalistic look of grey on grey, so I pair these with my favorite grey leggings and some cute booties for a look that is chic and comfortable.

They are put together, and professional making them an ideal option for any event that requires business or business casual attire. The beautiful blue color of this one isn’t a traditional winter color but its beautiful and bright. I couldn’t resist adding something so out of the norm color wise to be wardrobe as a fun pop of color that people might not expect.
Ugly Christmas sweaters cannot be ignored this time of year. It has always amused me that they are called ugly Christmas sweaters when in reality they are much more cute than ugly. Whether they are star wars themed, have a cute funning saying or are just festive and fun, there is nothing better to rock to a Christmas party or gift exchange with friends than a cozy ugly Christmas sweater.
